Richard Butler - Richard Butler
Possibly one the more awaited released from any of the 80's new wave era, and one that won't disappoint. Having an amazing career as the front man of The Psychedelic Furs and Love Split Love, Richard has forged countless fans throughout the world, and is apt to gain more with this glorious self titled release. Being a fan of The Psychedelic Furs, I often pondered why Richard hadn't put out a solo album under his own name, though I guess you can really consider Love Split Love a solo project? This album captures why fans flocked to record shelves to pick up the latest Furs record in the 80's, yet remains polished enough to be considered a 'mature' album. No, it's not quite as dark as his previous works, and a bit more on the airy, lighthearted side, but the overall feeling is this will be a masterful start to a more than wonderful career. On a side note, when you buy the CD, note his picture on the back cover. He looks skinnier then ever, and appears to have not slept in several years. Perhaps he still hasn't shaken off the vampire-like persona from the earlier days...

Thank you so much for posting this. I have been trying to find this for ages - so long in fact that I had given up looking. Then I thought, let's have another look, and lo and behold...
Many thanks again.
