I picked this up some time back, being a fan of both Sandie Shaw from the late 60's and a fan of The Smiths/Morrissey. Sandie has not lost that sleek sound that made her popular from the 60's, and these nice pop tunes are an example of how she remains cool even today! Having an alternate copy of her singing 'Hand In Glove' is a nice perk as well! The title track is mixed by Neil Clark & Lloyd Cole (Lloyd Cole & The Commotions), as well as being one of their songs! And I'm sure if you're a Smiths fan, you have heard or recognize the rendition of 'Hand In Glove', which is essential to any Smiths collection. This all said, 'Are You Ready To Be Heartbroken' is an excellent effort by Sandie Shaw, and highly suggested to any mid 80's pop enthusiast.
