Chameleons - A Person Isn't Safe Anywhere These Days 12"
How do you define the brilliance of this one band? I'm not sure I could define anything good enough in words to describe the amazing sound of The Chameleons, nor the impact they had on music. It was a difficult task to decide which ep to share with you, in the end it was just me reaching into my section and voila! I will have to share more of their music later on in this ever-building music blog, but for now you can partake in this gem in "A Person Isn't Safe Anywhere These Days". Two tracks are taken from the brilliant album Script Of The Bridge LP, and another ray of gold in 'Prisoners Of The Sun' gracing this ep, and later on the Fan & The Bellows LP. It is timeless material which I think will be found greatly enjoyable by fans of 80's, britpop and shoegaze alike, as they greatly influenced a many bands, and still do today in the likes of Interpol and such. Hopefully you've managed to enjoy The Chameleons prior to this blog, but if not take this opportunity to sit back and enjoy the illustrious sounds of Mark Burgess and the gang.
Track 1, A Person Isn't Safe Anywhere These Days

So this band influenced Interpol huh? Does the lead singer sound like Gord Downie as well? Ha Ha Ha I'm just playin'. Good Post!
SHINDIGGIT!
ha ha ;)
We've been down this road before, and you know my counter to your statement :)
So you'd think they'd name themselves the "Hip Chameleons" then right? LOL
I've never heard this before - so glad you posted it; it's wonderful.
